A Hot Potato Against a Dark Background

On the 25th of March 2010, musicians in association with squib-box provided the live soundtrack to a new performance piece by Bruce McLean (musical director Sam Belinfante) at a new non-commercial venue – Testbed1.

A HOT POTATO AGAINST A DARK BACKGROUND – A NEW WORK BY BRUCE MCLEAN, FEATURING A POTATO A BALLGOWN A HOLE A MOVING GOAL MOUTH AND A LARGE COLLAPSING FIREPLACE .

The musicians were:

Sam Belinfante – MD and Cello
Lore Lixenberg – Soprano Solo
Federico Reuben – live electronics
Adam de la Cour – Guitar
Neil Luck – Guitar
Javier Carmona – Percussion
Lawrence Tatnall – Trombone
Paul Carr – Tape loops
