squib-box launch

On the evenings of January the 21st and 22nd, the artist led organization/net label squib-box will be hosting an official launch weekend at the Old Deptford Police Station.

This mini-festival will include a manic mix of performances, interventions, improvisations, films, bar brawls and party games reflecting squib-box‘s ethos that avant-garde performance is not tied to specific genres, disciplines or movements but to an uncompromising attitude towards rethinking established notions about art and music.

Each night features a host of bands, leading musicians and performing artists including:

Friday: Bruce Mclean, Loré Lixenberg, Sam Belinfante, ARCO collective, Emma Redding and Zipperface.

Saturday (Evening): Mark Knoop, Fiona Bevan, John Edwards, Claudia Molitor, Mowgli, Alexander Hawkins and David Migden & The Dirty Words.

Saturday (Afternoon): Benny the Clown, Kinderfarten, Rebecca Birch

Both days will also feature performances by Adam de la Cour, Neil Luck, Federico Reuben, Javier Carmona and Jo Thomas.

An assortment of wonderful free limited edition recordings will also be available at the event as well as forthcoming album releases by Mark Knoop, Zipperface and David Migden & The Dirty Words.

Also, during the afternoon of the 22nd, come and share with us an FREE informal family friendly gathering with games, performances and food.

The event will be held at the Old Deptford Police Station, 14 Amersham Vale, London SE14 6LG (Access via New Cross and Deptford overground, rail and DLR).
