squib-box artists Dominic Lash (dou­ble bass) and Fed­erico Reuben (live elec­tron­ics) will be joined by Ingrid Laubrock (sax) for an impro­vised set at Cafe Orwell as part of The Super Coda — an exper­i­men­tal music night cre­ated by Valerie Kuehne.

The Super Coda is an exper­i­men­tal cabaret night under­scored by impro­vi­sa­tion and sur­prise, genre as we com­monly under­stand it is for­gone for the sake of estab­lish­ing new musi­cal threads, rela­tion­ships, and philoso­phies between per­form­ers who are actively push­ing the lim­its and con­cep­tions pre­vi­ously defin­ing their medium. The evenings are usu­ally the­atri­cal, often provoca­tive, and fre­quently debauch­er­ous. Indeed, there is never a dull moment.
