squib-artists perform in Brooklyn

squib-box artists Dominic Lash (double bass) and Federico Reuben (live electronics) will be joined by Ingrid Laubrock (sax) for an improvised set at Cafe Orwell as part of The Super Coda – an experimental music night created by Valerie Kuehne.

The Super Coda is an experimental cabaret night underscored by improvisation and surprise, genre as we commonly understand it is forgone for the sake of establishing new musical threads, relationships, and philosophies between performers who are actively pushing the limits and conceptions previously defining their medium. The evenings are usually theatrical, often provocative, and frequently debaucherous. Indeed, there is never a dull moment.
